Message every single vehicle doesnt have to steer clear of Exxon in order to press for price drops from the retailers, they have their businesses in marketing, trading, refining, etc, but they wont do retail with me.

Snicker at me all you want, but they can take your cash, along with the other $1300+ they make each second off of everyone else.

I didn't know this before, but was on the phone talking about this stuff with my buddy who is an energy management grad from OU, and ExxonMobil used to be standard oil (rockefeller), which was a vertical monopoly and actually "backed" nazi germany / fascist italy in an effort to get access to russian oil reserves to strengthen that monopoly. After the pacific war they took over southeastern asian oil reserves that were previously run by shell since the dutch military is too far away to protect their business.

Interesting....so if you need a "these guys are/were bad" motive to buy elsewhere, there's one FWIW.

So there!
